Founder and President

Max is a freshman at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, studying business and data science. Max has previously interned at the Bucharest Stock Exchange and qualified for the United States of America Mathematical Olympiad. He grew up in Long Island, NY and has family roots in Romania. Max started URIA to give children facing hardship a sense of normalcy and connection.

Vice President and Director of Program Development

Max is a sophomore at the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University, studying business. He grew up in East Hampton, NY, and has roots in Romania. He is a member of the Dean’s Council at his school and currently works as a tennis coach at Tennis Innovators. Through URIA, Max hopes to help children affected by conflict build genuine friendships.

Director of Outreach

Maxim is a senior at Burlingame High School in Burlingame, CA. He is a competitive MLS Next level soccer player in his 5th season. He grew up on both the East and West Coasts and has family roots in Ukraine and Bermuda. Through URIA, Maxim hopes to be able to help children who are suffering and bring joy to their day.

Secretary

Andrew is a junior at Queens High School for the Sciences at York College in Jamaica, NY. He grew up in New York City and has family roots in Romania. He is deeply involved in Romania-oriented community service both locally and during his summers abroad. Through URIA, Andrew hopes to continue supporting children in need and strengthen the spirit of solidarity between Romania and Ukraine.
